Impact

Three Arrows has partnered with One Tree Planted (501c3) in an effort to help create a healthier world in which humanity, nature, and wildlife can not only survive, but thrive. For every bottle of Three Arrows sold, we have committed to planting a tree in one of our National Parks. This project will help restore our nation’s forests, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitats for biodiversity. It is part of who we are to give back to the communities we serve, and we are very proud to be a part of this ever-so-important cause.

Thanks to your support, we have planted over 8000 Trees!

Why are trees so important?

Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. What’s more, forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.

80% of the world's forests are already destroyed.

Tress and plants are being destroyed at astonishing rates. In fact, the world’s rainforests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation.

46-58 thousand square miles of forest are lost every year.

That's equivalent to 48 football fields every minute.

28,000 species are expected to become extinct by the next 25 years due to deforestation.

80% of the world’s terrestrial plants and animals live in forests and are losing their habitats to deforestation. Loss of habitat can lead to species extinction. This is not only a biodiversity tragedy but also has negative consequences for medicinal research and local populations who rely on the animals and plants in the forests for hunting and medicine.

Tropical forest destruction accounts for about 20 percent of current greenhouse gas emissions.

Healthy forests help absorb greenhouse gasses and carbon emissions that are caused by human civilization and contribute to global climate change. Without trees and plants, more carbon and greenhouse gasses enter the atmosphere. To make matters worse, trees actually become carbon sources when they are cut, burned, or otherwise removed.

Tress are vital to our food system.

Without tree roots to anchor the soil and with increased exposure to the sun, the soil can dry out, leading to problems like increased flooding, run-off, loss of vitally important top soil, and ultimately the inability to farm the land. Cash crops planted after clear-cutting or burning — like soy, coffee, and palm oil — can actually exacerbate soil erosion because their roots cannot hold onto the soil the way tree’s roots can.
